Float Catching -
Coral Reid is a folk fiddle player from the UK, a specialist in English traditions. In between teaching and performing, she can be found at home knitting and sewing the contents of her wardrobe, combining local materials with Japanese designs. 'Float Catching' is a performance project that uses knitting stitch dictionaries as the basis for writing new tunes for fiddle. After noticing many musicians were also knitters or crafters of some kind, a search began to find the common threads.
Catch her demonstration at 11.00am in the John Hay Courtyard.

Susanna Kaartinen
Understanding Brioche - Susanna Kaartinen, the founder of Sanna and Co, is a Finnish Australian knitwear designer. She loves to challenge knitters with unusual construction and interesting details, but without compromising on knitting enjoyment or wearability. Susanna is on a mission to make Brioche more approachable to knitters, through her clever designs.
