Andrea Clements

Co-Founder of Geelong and Bellarine Yarn Show.

Owner, Yarn Me Calm, Portarlington

Andrea created Yarn Me Calm to share her love of all things yarn and fibre, knowing that in today’s world, sometimes we need a little softness and kindness. Her background in Youth work, Developmental Trauma, and Family therapy inspired her to find a way to facilitate the use of yarn with therapeutic intent.

To the Geelong and Bellarine Yarn Show, Andrea brings her considerable event management experience, having previously organised the Crochet Guild of Australia’s National Conference in 2024 and 2025.

Andrea also brings her prodigious networking skills to the fore, and has enticed the wonderful Shelley Husband to demonstrate Crochet during the event.

Tess Vandekolk

Dyer and Designer of Fluff and Nonsense

Tess created Fluff and Nonsense to recapture the joy in her life. Working on small scale batches of hand dyed yarns, every skein is dyed with intention and a mind for bringing colour and inspiration to someone else’s life.

Previously a scientist who worked in the fields of pharmacology, neuroscience and stem cells, Tess has always loved the interplay between science and art, viewing them as complementary sides of the same coin.

To the Geelong and Bellarine Yarn Show, Tess brings her vendor experience, helping to shape GABYS to be accessible and inclusive for everyone involved.
